The Tours of Oxford private walking tours banner shows the Oxford skyline of multiple colleges visitors can see in the tours. The sky is bright blue and the sandstone spires of the colleges reach into the heavens.

Hi! I’m Chris, and welcome to Tours of Oxford. I have known Oxford for over thirty years, including a spell at the University, where I hold a MSc in English Local History from Kellogg College.

In 2018, I set up Tours of Oxford and won a European Luxury Travel Guide Award for Bespoke Tour Operator in Oxford.

Tours of Oxford is now a co-operative of outstanding Oxford Guides – Alumni, published Oxford authors, and local historians – providing first class private tours of Oxford exclusive to you, your family, friends, or colleagues.

Just returned from UK and Tours of Oxford was one of the highlights of our trip. Tour guide was so very knowledgeable and having lived in Oxford as part of the University could give some great insight into the school. He wanted to know what we were interested in and tailored the tour accordingly. He was on no time schedule and really gave us a wonderful tour of so much of the university. Highly recommend this tour to get a feeling of what Oxford is all about.
Chris was an amazing tour guide. His knowledge of history and the university was incredible, and his personality and passion shine through in every tour he gives.
While we spent 2 hours with him, I think we could have spent days chatting about British history and seeing the sites. He gave us great recommendations for dining and shopping while we were in town as well. This is a 5 star tour company, and Chris was a 5 star guide
Chris was a super guide - good fun, full of information, brought the beauty of Oxford alive with background and context. Thoroughly recommend.
Chris was a mine of information. He explained the origins of Oxford and why it became the leading centre of teaching. We adored our trip around the Bodleian, Trinity and New College - without a guide we would never have found all the treasures. We would all recommend Chris highly!
